LOVE

Love is that of a gift, one that God gave to help lift the darkness.

Love is something I thought I once had
Wishes and dreams of it are all I had.
Who shall love a creature like me?
Love is my only simple need

Love is felt through words of the mind; it knows no age or time.

Love to me is like a memory frozen in the past,
It’s like wishing for ice cream or something that won’t last.
Love is something that takes time to have,
I am young, and it is still something I have yet to grab.

If love was for a creature, then angels could not be.

Love is like fighting for cancer,
You keep running from it, but it still might get you.
Love is something no one feels for me,
It’s a time frozen in the past, a time that I do not need.

If love was of darkness, then I could not see.
