COLORS OF MY HEART

Black is the color I see in your once golden heart.
You forced yourself onto me to get what you want.

Red is the color I once thought meant love,
But when you gave your heart, you, well, kind of.

Green is the color I thought that the world used to express life.
Till you showed me a world of nothing but strife.

Black, red, and green are colors I once thought was beautiful,
The colors of mystery, love, and life.

But with the color black, you shielded my eyes,
From the colors of love (red) and green (life).
