As the world turns, another day goes by,
Another day will slip by.
Bye and bye without a clue,
Like my sister, sick in bed with the flu.
I can remember her last bit of air.
Her skin felt cold and moist, yet fair.
“I am sorry I have to leave you like this.
Those games I promised and the ones I missed.
I swear if I live, I will devote my life to you.
I will take you everywhere, anywhere you choose.
But promise me one thing, please.
That you will take care of mother and her needs.”
And just like that, she was out of my life.
She had gone to live with Jesus Christ.
As the world turns, you face another day,
And someone you love may slip away.
